ABOUT US

We plant forests where nature and people need them, restoring ecosystems, improving the climate and strengthening the balance of nature. Our project combines science, technology and partnership to create sustainable forests that serve people and the environment.

Our mission

  • Restoring the natural balance through the expansion of forest areas

  • Protecting ecosystems and supporting biodiversity

  • Developing a green economy and ecotourism

  • Educating and involving society in environmental initiatives

HOW IT WORKS

Carbon Sequestration and Climate Resilience

Learn how reducing carbon emissions changes the climate

Ocean acidification

CO₂ dissolves in water, causing ocean acidification, which threatens marine ecosystems. Reducing emissions helps slow this process.

Improving agricultural efficiency

climate stabilization reduces the likelihood of droughts and unpredictable weather events, improving crop yields and food security.

Improved air quality

less CO2 in the atmosphere leads to better health for people and the environment.

Healthy ecosystems and biodiversity

plants and animals are minimally affected by changes in climate, water and soil, living and reproducing in their natural habitats.

Slowing down global warming

reducing CO₂ emissions reduces the concentration of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere, slowing the increase in the average temperature on the planet.

Stabilizing weather patterns

Reducing emissions helps prevent extreme weather events such as hurricanes, droughts, heavy rains and fires.

Preserving glaciers and sea levels

Reducing CO₂ reduces the rate at which glaciers and polar ice melt, which slows the rise in sea levels.

How do forests help reduce humanity’s carbon footprint?

Carbon storage

Forests store vast amounts of carbon in their biomass (trunks, roots, leaves) and soil. As trees grow, they sequester carbon for decades or even centuries, reducing overall levels of CO₂ in the atmosphere.

Cooling the climate and regulating weather

Forests help keep the world cool by releasing moisture and creating clouds that reflect sunlight. This reduces local temperatures and reduces the need for artificial cooling, reducing energy use and greenhouse gas emissions.

CO₂ Absorption

Trees absorb carbon dioxide (CO₂) from the atmosphere through photosynthesis and convert it into organic matter such as wood and leaves. This reduces greenhouse gas concentrations and slows global warming.

PROJECT GEOGRAPHY

Republic of Moldova

The project is being implemented on the territory of the Republic of Moldova in areas requiring reforestation.

  • Degraded agricultural lands

  • Coastal areas for protection of water resources

  • Area with high levels of soil erosion

The website has an interactive map with up-to-date information on the areas included in the project.

ACTUAL SITUATION

The project is starting and we are already excited…

A forest is not just trees, but an ecosystem that affects the climate, air quality, water quality and biodiversity. Together with partners and local communities, we are restoring the natural balance, and every step matters.

What has already been done

  • Plots with a total area of 3,500 hectares have been identified, their analysis has been conducted, legal documents for work have been prepared

  • Cooperation with government agencies has been established, leading experts have been involved

  • Work has begun on preparing the soil and planting trees

How will this affect nature?

  • In just one year, thousands of young trees will appear in these areas

  • Forests will begin to strengthen the soil, preventing erosion

  • The water balance and microclimate of the region will improve

  • Ecosystems will be restored; new species of plants and animals will appear

Further development plans

  • Completion of signing agreements with landowners

  • Conducting public consultations with local communities

  • Development of a detailed reforestation plan for the coming year

  • Large-scale planting works

  • Monitoring the territory using drones and satellite technologies
